F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is not the best Metroidvania out there, but in a sea full of them, this would definitely be swimming close to the top. That is all thanks to its fantastic combat, upgrade system and setting.

Guess it was a good move for Sony to promote this game. Here's hoping the rest of China Hero's second batch of games will be as good.
This looked interesting so I downloaded the demo for this on Steam about a month ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was: beautiful visuals, tight controls, fun gameplay, interesting world, etc. It's truly the best metroidvania I've played in a very long time. Looking forward to a full release.
