Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games released new videos about the growing space sim, mostly focusing on upcoming content and systems.
We’ll be experiencing “Westworld” video game tech by the time this game releases in an outdated state.
Just tried out the free fly recently. It is laggy, buggy, slow, glitchy, probably killing ur pc. It's a glorified screen saver. If you are a no lifer, then maybe just maybe this game is for you. It takes ages to do anything fun.
Maybe you need to upgrade your pc
I guess I could upgrade from my i7 11700k, rtx 3070 to 3080 or 3090. You might be right. I think that should fix the game.
Trouble shooting performance is the meta game in SC. It's not your rig.
I feel sorry for those that crowdfunded this game. They got finessed badly.
Are you claiming it won't launch in 2014?
I have high hopes. 2014 is shaping up to be a great year for gaming. Ya know, witcher 3 comes out in 2015!!! Shit is going to be tits.
...! Just in case, same month in 2015, buy lottery tickets with the following numbers: 14, 17, 35, 39, 23 and 34.
Terrible environment design in this video. Number one....space is about making the most of the area you have available to you. Not having a room 100 by 80 feet with a single bed in the middle. It ends up wasting PC resources and makes the environment appear empty except for the few obvious people pacing back in forth in their predetermined 20 foot area. It doesn't feel immersive and it would take a crapload more resources to make it feel populated. I never crowdfund software projects....you might as well set your money on fire or consider it charity.
So you guys are funding a digital telenovela on YouTube? How cute !
Cool. When's it releasing? How many years need to pass before the community behind this game doesn't dismiss the question and attack me? Can I ask it at the 10 year mark? 15?
I don't back this game and never will, but those who do have a game they can play that's constantly evolving. I dunno, is that such a bad thing? So it's not a final retail copy, but I'm sure there's more than enough stuff to do in the game to tide you over. I could be wrong, so those who actually play it feel free to chime in here.
I personally do consider it a bad thing, yes. If I were super hyped for a game, I wouldn't want to spend a decade waiting with still no firm release date in sight, littered with mega-transactions that range from hundreds to thousands of dollars. I think that business model is beyond garbage and I don't like the thought of it coming to games or franchises I enjoy.
The in game community is just weird. Some rich investor helped me run a mission. It took about an hour in total to do the mission, basically fly out, land, dock etc. I felt like I didn't do much. He thought I would be mind blown. In a sense I actually was mind blown my how low their standards are for what is considered fun. It would be a tolerable game for retired people, who have a lot of time to kill.
It will never live up to the hype, I wouldn't be surprised if the game got so so reviews at launch, which will be during the PS6 and the next Xbox launch 🤣🤣
