Neil writes: "Team17 rarely miss a beat and that was no more true when they combined with The Game Kitchen to drop the award-winning action platformer Blasphemous to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC. Today though, as they confirm a sequel to 2019's hit is in the works, comes confirmation that a free expansion will soon be hitting the original game, bringing with it new bosses, areas, items and more."
"The Wakefield-based (the UK) indie games publisher and developer Team 17 and Seville-based (Spain) indie games developer The Game Kitchen, are today very happy and excited to announce that their critically acclaimed hack’n slash action-platformer "Blasphemous", is now available for Android devices worldwide." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Fantastic game. I can't imagine playing this on a mobile phone though. Far too difficult.
This article covers pixel Indie games that have a superior art direction and creative art style compared to several modern AAA titles.
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "If you’re looking for a title with exploration, platforming, and some challenging combat, this is a great experience that adds to 2019’s absolutely incredible line-up of releases. The problem is it’s a bad Metroidvania, which is a shame because this is an article series about Metroidvanias. If I do a series on Souls-likes, expect Blasphemous to be at the top of the list, but as far as Metroidvanias go it rates pretty low because it hardly even attempts to be part of the genre."
i initially wanted to play it cause of the art style, too me a while to actually find it, but damn did i love the game and the lore
very excited for this. hope that if the sequel gets delayed (like the original one) it will turn out to be good regardless.
Can't wait the original was brilliant.
Sweet
I'm still stuck in the first game T_T
One of the few games I backed on Kickstarter that was worth it. I'm glad they continue to support the game and I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
Awesome,,!!!!
