On November 11, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be released. Again. This time, it's coming as the Anniversary Edition and anyone who owns Skyrim Special Edition is getting a free upgrade.
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!
How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera
And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
A new Partner Spotlight Sale is now live on the Switch eShop, including Skyrim, lowest price ever for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and more.
Along with Quake, super surprised it's coming to PS5
Maybe new things will be on Xbox / PC first in the future and then a long time down the line release on PS5
However, Bethesda have got to stop doing Skyrim and do a remake of Morrowind / Oblivion
The PS5 version makes perfect sense because the game has been available there for a long time. The update is free only for SE owners, so many will still have to buy Skyrim again (which is already free in the Game Pass).
(If you say Hellblade didn't get the update because the sequel isn't coming to PS5 and if you ask why Skyrim got the update because Skyrim was already released for PS4).
16th time?
Imo they should support 8k resolution Im pretty sure PS5 and XSX could handle it
Easy money. I don’t know who is still buying Skyrim but someone is. How does gta5 stay in the top charts for 10 years? Who knows.
