Ghost of Tsushima's upcoming PC port may be in trouble, as the game has been delisted from PC storefronts in several regions without PSN access.

sell a 5 bucks cheaper version without the multiplayer mode

ocelot073d ago

Or just disabled cross play in them regions.

P_Bomb3d ago

That’s unfortunate. I loved Legends!

victorMaje3d ago

Went back & played a few missions the other day. Still such an amazing mode!

helicoptergirl3d ago

Legends is great. But the real draw is the massive Single Player game. Just sell a cheaper version in those regions that has no online multiplayer.

Giblet_Head3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

I really don't understand this move from a financial perspective. Whole thing seems counterintuitive to selling a product as much as possible. If you don't have the network reach that Steam or even GoG has why do this to yourself?

CantThinkOfAUsername2d ago

What a tame thread full of reasonable responses. Can we give MS the same treatment?

At this point, I'm starting to believe the theory that Sony wants to force PS Plus to play multiplayer on PC. That'd be suicide if they haven't learned anything from the Helldivers 2 fiasco.

AndrewM2d ago

Get the fuck out of here with your straw man comparisons, Microsoft is destroying the industry and its people like you who cheer it on, I'm just glad they are only taking a quarter of the industry down and not the whole thing.

Ghost of Tsushima PC Won’t Require PSN Account for Single-Player

Sucker Punch Productions tweets: "Thank you for your feedback.

Just so you are aware, A PSN account is required for Legends online multiplayer mode and to use PlayStation overlay. It is not required to play the singleplayer game."

Pedantic917d ago

Makes sense, not like an offline single player session needed to be monitored for offensive material or cheat devices.

purple1017d ago

It has a multiplayer mode though, which does require a psn, just the single player bit doesn't

Barlos7d ago

I should think not, you'd be playing it on PC, not PlayStation.

purple1017d ago

I read they are going to force psn to pc players, if they decide tonplay the multiplayer
But hey they just backtracked on Helldivers, so who knows now

FinalFantasyFanatic7d ago

I would only use it for Trophy/Achievement crossover if there was sign in for single player, but overall all, I don't really need/want it.

Ghost of Tsushima's Crossplay Patch Has Somehow Ruined the Game with Stuttering

A new Ghost of Tsushima update has introduced a nasty stuttering issue. Patch 2.19 released just hours ago, primarily adding crossplay support ahead of the PC version's launch on the 16th May. However, there are widespread reports that the PS5 and PS4 title is now borderline unplayable, with players encountering regular hitches, stutters, and freezing all across Jin's adventure.

Sucker Punch - "We have resolved a backend issue that was causing gameplay to consistently hitch for players.

This does not require a game update, but we recommend restarting your game or console to ensure you have the fix."

Dfooster10d ago

I restarted the console twice. Re-downloaded the game and the stutter was still there. Having said that it did clear after about an hour of frustrating gameplay.

Should this article be removed or marked as Failed now? Even the headline in the article itself is updated.

Great job on them fixing it up so quickly.

neutralgamer199210d ago

I own it on PS5 but can’t wait to enjoy it on PC. Never got around to playing it on PS5. Sucker punch are one of my favorite game developers (still hoping for another infamous or at the very least infamous 1-2 Remastered collection)

HansyJ10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

😂 Buys a game on the console it’s meant for but chooses not to play and instead spend full price to buy the game again on a different console that will play the game the exact same but probably not as good considering it’s native for PS five. Strange ppl

Skuletor10d ago

Unlocked frame rates and support for ultra-wide (21:9), super ultra-wide (32:9), and triple monitor (48:9) aspect ratios are two major differences I can think of.

Hansy

I keep buying more games and never getting around to playing them. Nothing against it being on PS5. I am a PlayStation fan but recently moved to PC gaming and IMO it’s better (tired of micro transactions on consoles)

Mods and single player game cheats are awesome on PC. (I miss the days of cheat codes but kha available on PC)

"ruined the game"....

a bit superlative there. the game isn't "ruined", its got a bug. bugs can be fixed. when something is ruined, it is no longer usable permanently.. software is hardly permanent and can be fixed 100% of the time. so while it may be unplayable for some right now, and that's annoying, it isn't ruined... unless they leave it... which they obv won't.
