"The game has served its purpose admirably"
I'm surprised they didn't take it offline sooner.
If they want multiplayer so bad then remake Outbreak
All they have to do is give us a RE Outbreak sequel for coop missions, and we have instead gotten like 2 or 3 PvP games.
I hope Capcom quits with these shoe-horned in competitive MP games. The ONLY RE MP games that should exist are Outbreak-styled Co-Op through a campaign. Why they haven’t decided to bring Outbreak out in this online MP world is beyond me.
Ah yes, this "love letter" to fans that missed two release dates, disappeared entirely until RE8 Gold Edition, and then released in the exact same state it went away in (Beta) despite all that time.
Baffling, really.
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "I guess the saving grace in all of this is that Resident Evil Re:Verse is free so long as you own Resident Evil Village, but does that really count as a point in its favor when this is such a bland, uninteresting offering to begin with? If you already own Village, I guess this might be worth a download for the 30 or so minutes of entertainment it can provide before things get old, but you’re not missing much if you don’t. There are better games available for free anyway, and most of them won’t make you wait two years before inevitable disappointment."
Balance issues, a lack of content, and aggressive monetization get in the way of good ideas.
good because it's pure trash.
Just make resident evil 6 gameplay/mercenaries expanded. Keep split screen and online, add maps from the whole series as well as characters and you have a gold game. Stop with these bad versions of mercenaries.
