Should digital editions be the same price as physical copies considering the production costs?
digital should be cheaper, no manufacturing, no paper manuals, no box, no shipping, no import export fees, no disks, no salesmen to pay. Digital should be cheaper, no question.
Wouldn’t lower digital costs discourage retailers from buying copies from the publishers? Either way, I agree with you.
No. Majority still buy physical and that will be the case for the foreseeable future and I don't think a small discount would change buying habits too much.
dragon quest builders 10 dollars at my walmart for physical copy, 60 dollars on psn. People with digital only consoles get hit hard.
Just wait for discounts. There’s always digital sales on every platform. It’s been awhile since I paid full price for a game.
While you're waiting for discounts I'll be playing it on disk at a discount even more so if it's used.
Nice. Plus you get that hidden ending and extra bugs for buying it early.
So what they'll do, now that youve griped about it, is keep digital games at $69.99 and HIKE UP physical copies to $77.99. Thanks, man.....
