Playasia has a number of physical games on sale this week.
Joining us this week is Stuart Tilley, Game Director over at Firesprite, developer of The Persistence – a terrifying survival horror roguelike set in the cold, unforgiving depths of space.
Tilley spoke a lot about updating The Persistence to next-generation consoles and how Sony’s PlayStation 5 – the Dualsense controller in particular – has allowed for a level of immersion he never thought possible.
This game is the most fun tense and satisfying vr games of this gen ..can't say anything about the flat screen version as I can't go back.
LOL. And we didn't know that yet? There are as many "Dual-sense is amazing" articles on this site as there are "XB GamePass is amazing" articles. It is rather sad on both sides of the fence really.
"The Persistence Enhanced a stealthy first-person shooter where you need to harvest the stem cells from your opponent’s spine. Yes! you read that right, stem cells are the main requirement for progression within the game." Iain @ Thumb Culture
If you don't play this in VR you're denying yourself the full experience. This game was designed from the ground up for VR and presumably now has a flat version to bolster sales.
I played it on PSVR a few years back and it was great. On PS5 now it looks awesome, but without the headset it feels... fine?
