From Nintendo Life: "Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin deserves to find a sizable audience. It's full of charm and boasts depth that can immerse the committed or be dabbled with by those eager to simply experience the story. As a blend of Monster Hunter with a traditional RPG approach it's an accomplished effort, and offers the sort of meaty experience that'll keep most players busy for weeks. Switch owners will need to tolerate some disappointing performance, unfortunately, but the overall experience shines nonetheless. It's a game of bright colours and wholehearted optimism, which is very welcome indeed."
The storytelling in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is well-paced, with each plot twist and revelation keeping players engaged from start to finish. The game strikes a good balance between epic moments of adventure and quieter, more intimate character moments, ensuring that players are emotionally invested in the outcome of the story.
MonsterVine: "If you’re someone like me who’s never played much of Monster Hunter in the past, then Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin might be for you."
I was so about this then I seen I couldn't find a u.s. release. No surprise there. Anyway found a import, great found one. While checking out the neat box art, there's a gold/yellow colored box on the art. I zoom in and see part 2 is a dlc code.
Why bother Capcom
Today Capcom had two juicy announcements to share about the Monster Hunter Stories series of JRPG, which is becoming even more multiplatform.
Hopefully there's a physical release of this on PS4 as well, weirded out that there's no PS5 version after all these times.
I already played a bit of PC version and was hooked as I'm not into mainline MH games at all but digging the Stories series.
Real shame the game isn't cross play
Would love to dive back in if the PS4 release reinvigorated the player base
Been playing the demo here and there. Cant wait to sink some serious hours into the retail version.
