They did this weeks ago several websites already reported on it. I guess it's just a slow news day huh?

CaptainHenry9161432d ago (Edited 1432d ago )

Yeah I was like this is old news lol. Who approved this article 🤔

SullysCigar1432d ago

Lol the usual suspects...

BlaqMagiq11432d ago

It was already reported they were reorganized into Team Asobi. This article was unwarranted.

NeoGamer2321432d ago (Edited 1432d ago )

Not sure why this is big news anyhow.

Sony are always consistently releasing great games. Now, if they started to fall off consistent game releases, that would be a cause for concern. This is not a cause for concern since they have released Spider-man MM, Sackboy Adventures, Demon's Souls, Returnal, and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart in the first 8 months of the new console!

BlaqMagiq11432d ago

Exactly. Just a news article reaching for clicks with something pseudo-negative.

Outlawzz1432d ago

Didn't these guys make gravity rush ? Such a great game and concept imo. Not sure what other games they made tho

Amplitude1432d ago (Edited 1432d ago )

Yeah they had quite a ton but the last few years Sony seemed to treat them like D-list devs and cursed them to helping out with remasters, vr games, vita games and just... really nothing

They had Gravity Rush, Ape Escape, the Loco Roco and Patapon games, a ton of amazing psn gems on ps3... so much good stuff. Oh well :(

CDbiggen1432d ago

And Freedom Wars for Vita, quality game.

Magog1432d ago

The director of that game and the director of The Last Guardian left Sony before Japan Studio was shut down.

Team Asobi

specialguest1432d ago

From the article:
"Localisation and business staff remain in place and Team Asobi will continue as a standalone studio within Sony Japan.

Some Japan Studio staff have joined Team Asobi, while others have followed Silent Hill and Gravity Rush director Keiichiro Toyama – who left Japan Studio last year – to his new studio Bokeh."

So basically the real talents left and formed Bokeh. Team Asobi is just a shell of a company

I´d played both State of Decay games and I can safely say that this teaser image has nothing to do with it.

New Next Gen IP? O.o

pwnmaster30001d 16h ago (Edited 1d 16h ago )

Why are they teasing a new game when state of decay isn’t even close to being released?? Let’s not pull a Bethesda and insomniac

Please focus on state of decay 3.. I’ve been waiting patiently lol

One of the comments is quite interesting:

Asked deepseek again with New images **"State of Decay 3: TEMPEST"**
(or "WINDS" / "STORM")
featuring:
**A survival system with up to 8 survivors** in a dynamic environment (floods, winds, resource scarcity).
### Key Elements Explained:
1. **"TEMPEST" / "STORM"**
→ From the repeated character **风 (fēng) - "wind"**, implying extreme weather as a core mechanic.
2. **Up to 8 survivors**
→ From **八 (bā) - "eight"** + **人多 (rén duō) - "many people"**, suggesting squad size limits.
3. **Dynamic Environment**
→ References to **水 (shuǐ) - "water"** (floods) and **风 (fēng)** (storms) signal environmental threats.
4. **Resource Struggle**
→ **米 (mǐ) - "rice"** and **木 (mù) - "wood"** hint at survival mechanics (food, building).
