WTMG's Leo Faria: "I don’t think anyone was expecting for Space Jam: A New Legacy – The Game to be amazing. Let’s face it, it’s a marketing ploy. It’s here to raise awareness for the brand new movie by giving you a few minutes of fun and some easy achievements. With that being said, I expected a lot worse from it. It’s decent for what it is. I still think that there is no reason for a beat ’em up based on Space Jam to exist, but all in all, there are worse ways to spend half an hour of your time. It’s also much better than that terrible Ben-Hur tie-in released for Xbox One a few years ago…"
Dave writes: "At thirty minutes long, Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game is closer in duration to a Looney Tunes short than it is a movie. But adjust your expectations down, find a couple of mates, play it for free, and you’ll find a belt-action game that can be fun, and has faint echoes of classic beat-em ups like Turtles in Time, The Simpsons and X-Men."
Everybody knows that Xbox needs hot exclusive games. As it turns out, it also needs exclusive games based on commercially-minded Warner Bros. movies. That's surely why we have Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game. First launched as an exclusive perk for Game Pass Ultimate members, the new Space Jam game is now free to download for all Xbox gamers. It's a short and pretty good 16-bit style co-op beat 'em up, so why not give it a try?
With Space Jam: A New Legacy coming out tomorrow, GotGame checks out the tie-in game to see if it's worth the low price of free.
I will check this out just for the hell of it. This month we get the Ascent and Flight Simulator!
