Despite having been announced three years ago, The Elder Scrolls VI still hasn't gone past the design phase, according to Todd Howard.
Bethesda will do as Bethesda does, tormenting us with talk of a playable build of TES 6 on the 30-year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series.
Playable builds is always good to know sounds like they've started full production. Still BR awhile but good to know development is goin smooth.
I lost a lot of enthusiasm for Elder Scrolls VI after playing Starfield. It was interesting, but it was still a massive disappointment for me. Elder Scrolls is different from Starfield in many ways, but I can’t bring myself to trust Bethesda with anything anymore.
David Pierce, better known as Chesko in the Skyrim modding community, is now a Senior Designer at Bethesda Game Studios currently working on the upcoming TES 6.
Bethesda's Head of Publishing Pete Hines that The Elder Scrolls VI has already left the pre-production phase and is in 'early development'.
Jesus. So we’ve got such a long wait
Also these guys refuse to let Fallout go, by the time we get Fallout 5 it will be 2030 or something
They need to swallow whatever pride they have and just let Obsidian do it. Microsoft could support Obsidian a lot…I mean they did New Vegas will a shit budget and small time frame and it was probably better than Fallout 3 in places.
Definitely gonna have to wait till next gen, possibly cross gen but definitely around that transitional time at the soonest.
Should be ready by the time next gen Xbox releases.
Hopefully that design phase is "be more like Oblivion".
Companies shouldn't be announcing games which are more than 18-24 months from release. Gamers shouldn't praise companies revealing logos or trailers
Sometimes I feel they announced this early because they knew the Fallout 76 announcement, from the same event, was not going to go down well.
