From GameWatcher: "Todd Howard has been trying to make an Indiana Jones game since 2009, where he even pitched an idea to George Lucas, but it wasn't until recently that he was able to fulfill that dream with Microsoft."
Honestly that sounds about right. It takes that studio a decade to get a game started. The way it's going the elder scrolls 6 will be on the next Gen console, apparently its still in the planning phase.
Bugs.. Why did it have to be bugs?
And he's been working on Starfield for 40 years...
He's been working on the idea in his head, yes. That's normal. James Cameron fleshed out the ideas for Avatar in his head since the 80's I believe, but he had to wait for technology to catch up to his vision.
Todd Howard is not James Cameron. If so Mr. Howard's level of artistic quality would have been much higher. Mr. Howard says a lot of things and it also takes much longer to produce than the other professional to which you have just compared him. It is normal for Mr. Howard, but it is not normal for more refined creative types as they usually improve and produce at a much faster rate even in video games. Lastly, creating (mostly) subpar experiences and getting praised for how other people make your work better is also not normal for the James Cameron types. It is not normal to compare Mr. Howard to Mr. Cameron. There is so much not normal about this comment that it borders on the territory of strange...
Probably needed to wait for Pocahontas to come out so he could shamelessly steal its plot.
"It's possible that we may see it launch in 2022", the game won't see the light until the end of 2024 at the very very earliest .
Meh, there was already a Indiana Jones game. I beat it back in 1982. ;D
