How did you miss any gold bolts on your first play? More than half of them are literally just sitting in the open.

I legitimately don't understand what people see in this game. It's the least creative, least engaging, lowest effort Ratchet ever made. There's barely more content than any of the later PS3 Ratchets, and what's there is poorly done.

Honest question, what "great things" does it do that aren't present in any other Ratchet?

Load times are great. Visuals are pretty. Haptics are interesting and I like the level of control customization. Other than that it's like eating a box of gray crayons as far as the quality of a RaC game goes. Every "new" addition is either a point A-B skip or something that's been done better before. The rift tethers we're beyond disappointing in how simply they were implemented.

Since I can't reply below, what's great about the weapons and story? The story is as generic as it gets, and the weapons are all incredibly uninteresting compared to past offerings.

I get I'm in the minority but there is literally nothing about this game that puts it over any past RaC; maybe some of the later short PS3 games, but any of the originals are head and shoulders above this game in every aspect except hardware improvements.

You can't demand people to give you reasons why they like something that you don't like

@TheKingKratos I didn't "demand" anything. I stated my opinion and asked others to explain why they keep saying it's great when it's objectively, measurably no better than any past RaC; in fact it's worse in most respects.

The planets are barren, linear, and very few. The gold bolts are painfully easy to find. The platforming is good for the first three-ish planets then takes a dive. The weapons are all either past weapons rehashed or so close to past weapons they could swap the names and I wouldn't know any better. The new gadgets are just point A-B traversal skips. The pocket dimensions are painfully simple. The story is as milquetoast as it gets. The puzzles start out with promise but wind up being the same thing over and over and get tedious fast. The mounts control like garbage. The arena SUCKS OUT LOUD. The sub-boss fights are the same three baddies re-skinned multiple times each.

You're all falling over yourselves to praise this mediocre game and I just don't get it. EVERY past RaC game is better than this.

Not Really more powerful with upgrade guns.
I've played Ratchet and Clank since PS2 days . Challenge mode feels the same before you beat the game with level 4 guns and after challenge mode no difference to me.

One thing they need to fix quick, I tried to do challenge mode with the stage flipped, but the audio is not flipped, so it became super hard to pin point enemies location with the audio, pausing my new game plus until they fix that, I can't keep my multiplier up without the audio
