Resident Evil Village DLC Announced as in Development Due to “Popular Demand”

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village DLC is in development due to "popular demand," but there's nothing to share just yet.

I definitely want more of this game, I look forward to seeing what they do.

Timzster1441d ago

Hopefully they show updates aside from the text, if not in the next few months then at TGS or before the year ends,

A deep origin story of the castle characters would be dope.

Knightofelemia1441d ago

Surprised they didn't do DLC to begin with RE7 had DLC The Chris DLC and Zoey DLC were pretty good with RE7.

excaliburps1441d ago

Same. Then again, what can they do without (don't want to go into spoilers) without it being part of RE9?

--Onilink--1440d ago

Im guessing one of the DLCs will definitely be about the other characters who were in the Village at that time, there is definitely a concurrent story to be told there

REDGUM1440d ago (Edited 1440d ago )

Thank you excaliburps. I haven't finished it yet, still a ways to go I think with only the 2nd cube in the thing that 4 cubes go in (sorry, didn't want to describe it too well and spoil it) I'm really enjoying this game, way more than I thought I would and it's only my 2nd RE game to RE7.
I have Ratchet and Clank sitting there next to the os5 but really don't want yo run with 2 games at the same time if I can help it.

DLC, from what I've seen of the game so far.. yes please.

Just finished it yesterday. Lots of fun, would love to play it in VR

Aloymetal1441d ago

Yes, VR, that's what I'm hoping too.

SullysCigar1440d ago

I'm waiting for the announcement it will be a PSVR2 launch title before I play it.

CrimsonWing691441d ago

I lol’d at how they announced this. Basically a title card saying “we’ll announce something later.”

Hell, I would’ve settled for stick figures on notebook paper showing us what your plans are. Why even bother?

yea an announcement of an announcement haha

RE franchise is my favourite, it’s so awesome. There’s so much variety and many great games. That is why i hope we’ll get at least one more RE with first person perspective. I want that RE7 experienece one more time! The RE9 director is the same one as RE7 so i’m expecting it to be amazing.

Currently $10 at Walmart on Xbox.

About what it goes for on digital store fronts these days as well. It's always seems like it's on sale along with the other RE games.

I loved the similarities between Village and RE4. I guess the main thing that felt similar is they both seem like sprawling “villages” and the action was well balanced. Both incredible games in VR too.

Lol I doubt iPhone contributed much to that figure, the vast majority would have been PS5 and PC.

mastershredder347d ago (Edited 347d ago )

Yeah, of course the mobile sites are going to make news out of the couple digit in-the-thousands or so downloads as a major contribution. The original story was that Village hit the 10 million mark across all the platforms, nice for mobile fans to take it up a serious notch like it was due on behalf of mobile.
