Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Review (PS5) - The Best Star Wars Game In Ages - PSU

From PSU: "Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order finds its true home on PS5, with Sony's monstrously powerful hardware bringing out the most in Respawn's evocative visual design, all the while reminding us just how good the game is. Even in 2021, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is one of the best Star Wars games of the last decade and this is by far the best way to play it."

The story is too old to be commented.

Indeed it is. I had a lot of fun with it. Hopefully it gets a sequel.

I finally got to give it a go on PC thanks to GP, but I just couldn't get into it. I mean, it is a well made game. I had some fun for a few hours, but for some reason I just couldn't quite get engaged enough to want to come back and fire it up again. Not entirely sure why, guess not everything can click for everyone.

I was like you at first but when I started to upgrade my abilities, things started to get a lot more exciting.

the slow, stale, typical Star Wars combat hinders the game for me. Personally I see this as being the perfect SW game to break that norm and offer a faster paced, action play style. That alone would do wonders for me. I also find myself putting the controller down often when playing this. Like I can't wait to just be done with it. I also feel the game can't decide if it wants to be Tomb Raider, Uncharted or Souls-like. The level design has been great and it's a dam good game with so much potential but overall it falls a bit short imo. Having said that it's still a good game at the very least.

As for the PS5 version. I upgraded last night and after an hour I reverted back to the PS4 version. In part trophy related because I just started playing it several nights ago and the PS5 upgrade splits off into it's own trophy list. Also because I was noticing a lot of pop in, assets not loading properly or quickly, etc. This one area was missing like a 10' x 5' piece of land and had just a white hole for a while until it finally loaded in. The same issues in that area were not present in the PS4 version...
