I didn’t realize Beat Saber was still getting updates. It’s pretty old at this point.

I read on reddit that it was Meta’s decision to stop supporting the PSVR 2 & PS VR versions. I didn’t even know Meta owned the IP.

Best game? GT7 is its best game.

Lots of people use their VR headsets nearly exclusively as a Beat Saber machine

From what I've seen, lots of people use their VR headsets exclusively for GT7 as well. That being said, I really wish Sony would start supporting their VR systems. Dropping the system with Horizon and GT7 support gave me hope for the future, and it's been crickets for announcements.

Most of us bought the game and beat it years ago. It was being updated but now it's not. So what. People can still play it.

And best is subjective. So many great games have come out in the meantime.

I don't know why we need article after article about it.

That’s what I thought of too. GT7 keeps getting updates and is far more appreciated than beat saber.

I love Beat Saber. It sounds like the devs are moving on to something else. But at least we can still play the game.

I mean… the game is awesome, but it’s also old as hell. Going on like year 7? Them saying they are focusing on the next VR project is enough for me. Beat Saber is me and my wife’s most played game in a LONG time. Played on PSVR release day for PS4 and still play today on PSVR2. I don’t buy any of the new music anyway as the free packs are really good. We got imagine dragons and panic at the disco. Other than that we were set. Looking forward to what they do next. Maybe one day I’ll get a VR for my PC.

I mean, the game isn’t being abandoned or anything. They’re still working on it and supporting it on the other platforms. It’s just the PlayStation VR and VR2 versions that got dropped. That’s probably because the player base there is smaller compared to the others, so it just didn’t make sense for them to keep putting time and money into it. Sucks if that was your platform of choice, but the game’s is far from dead and still the best seller of the VR space by quite the mile.

And because the sales dropped there- the multiplayer will be working until next year- for a console game that’s a long life span- the pc platform has a lower upkeep and more people getting into cheap headsets and they can sell the game and packs ultra cheap there versus paying Sony a chunk- as you say they just aren’t selling the same volume. For many years they did well though so good for them. On PC half life 2 still sells - know what I mean?

I love it on the PC as there are custom songs that people make which is awesome.

I use my PSVR2 on my PC (and on my PS5 Pro). It's annoying having to do the calibration each time, but w/e, I tend to use it in bunches on one machine then the other.

IMO, there's two that are better than all these (except maybe Beat Saber), Thrill of the Fight and AUDICA.
