Damn I bought Squadrons a few months ago while on sale, still haven't played it and now wishing I never bought it. But whats done is done, and I still have the other games on offer to play without any extra cost besides being a plus member.
Oh I plan to, thats why I bought it. Im only saying instead of my compulsive buy i could have waited and gotten it at no extra charge outside of my plus sub.
The warmer it gets, the more gross it is to wear the headset for long duratuons of play with sweat soaking into the padding. Also im having to deal with that same padding crumbling from overuse putting it on and off along with the sweat likely adding to the crumbling.
HAHAHA...THAT'S what I said when I bought Gravity Rush 2 like 3 months after its release. it's still in its original wrap in the plastic bag it came with right now LOL! and my other unopened copies of SW Jedi FO, FFVIIR, Spyro etc...sigh...
let's just hope you have time to play yours! cheers
@badz149 LOL damn you got me on Front Street now, so cards on the table, I do have that problem but its only with digital games. I play all my physical copies cause those are generally only the exclusives, everything else is usually heavily retail price reduced then bought on sale. Those are the games that I tend to forget about until I go looking through my library.
I havent gotten a PS5 as of yet, and don't really plan to get one till next year summer some time. I'm not searching but at the same time I'm not seeing, so in the mean time I will be going through my library of forgotten digital games and crossing some off. Some will forever be lost to time, a button press away but so distant in my want to play, same as many PS3 games yet not played.
But you've at least played the game once, while I have yet to do so.
I like planes and jets and play games like Ace Combat, also playing games like Endspace in vr although its a bit disorienting not knowing which way is up. I'm just not a big Star Wars fan and that may be an underlying reason why I've been sitting on the game for so long. Now if it was a Star Trek game with the same combat, I likely would have played it a few times already.
These services are starting to feel more like how long do I have to wait for the game I want to hit the other service vs one service having more then the other. Squadrons was a highlight for gamepass due to EA Pass a couple months ago and now free on Plus. Pretty sure it will hit PS Now in 2-3 more months at this rate which just makes me feel like I can relax on running to buy most of these games.
@ Lexreborn2 Absolutely. It’s possible to get caught up in all the games that you want to by but you miss out on the diamond in the rough or just simply never got around to a certain game and then all of a sudden it’s free or on an great deal or included with a subscription model. For example I’ve never play FF XV before and despite mixed emotions about it i thought why not give it a shot. Then I go look at the PS Store but ended up finding the Royal Edition Included Free on PS Plus. I’m like bonus! Download. Little perks these days.
yup, I swear I was sitting down yesterday looking through Gamepass and PSnow I was just like.... They certainly aren't making it necessary to day 1 games anymore.
It's like people on the internet are arguing over value and quality and in reality... We are all getting the same things just at different rates. It's an interesting Genjutsu we've been put in... Perhaps the infinite tsukuyomi did work..
Nice thing about PS+ (or Games with Gold if the games weren’t all turds) is that you get to play the game so long as you are subscribing to PS+. I can download Lego Marvel Superheroes that I got from PS+ in 2014 and still play it.
It does but then you end up waiting for a game to reach a service and it never does. I'm still waiting for far cry primal to hit either PS plus or gamepass even gamepass PC for example. It's a game I'm intrigued by but don't think I would want to spend the money to buy it
Been waiting for years as FC primal always looked and felt like DLC to 4 from everything I saw and read almost a garuntee for a service like plus or gold but nope.
Wow!! Thats effing nice, will see if I still remember to combo in VF5 :D, I really didnt expect VF5 to release so soon and even free, well kinda PS plus members ;)
Yeah, I'm wondering if the shoulder buttons are going to be changed. The tendency on PS4/PS5 has been to treat R2/L2 the way R1/L1 used to be treated on PS3 and earlier, so I'm wondering if they'll make that switch for VF5 or keep it the same. It's a weird thing, because in most cases the newer shoulder buttons are much better, but for VF5 specifically I may miss the PS3 controller.
I suppose the Dualsense is a different shape than the DS3 and pressing L1/R1 might not be as comfortable, but if that's not an issue, you can just go into your PS5 settings and use the custom button assignments.
I thought I was the only one who felt this. Yeah I kinda miss the natural way my index fingers rested on L1 & R1 and middle fingers on L2/R2 up to the DualShock 3. The PS5’s DualSense is an improvement over the DualShock 4 in this regard as its more comfortable to rest your index fingers again on L1/R1 or L2/R2.
VF5: Ultimate Showdown and Star Wars: Squadrons are solid picks.
Not sure about Operation: Tango since there are no reviews for it yet. I've looked at some preview videos and it could be good though. It's cool that 2 games are launching day-and-date on the service.
Nice to see Virtua Fighter getting some love back. I bought the VF2 game a couple months ago on Xbox since it was the only version that I didn't own a close arcade port (the Saturn Version is great but hey it's no arcade).
They seem to really push the fighting game narrative. I'm surprised we haven't seen them invest in a fighting game studio and built a franchise already.
Playstation All-Stars had some flaws but I really enjoyed it while I was playing it.
You know what, I've had this same thought in my mind for months now, especially now that they bought EVO. We all know Warner is a mess, so I don't think Sony buying Netherealm and the Mortal Kombat IP is too far fetched!
Another great month on PS Plus. Love getting 2 brand new releases. Also worth pointing out that Operation Tango lets you invite PS4 players to play with you for free even though the PS4 version isn't on PS+
Does it seems VF5's destiny is to be given with plus. Remember, the PS3 version was given a s plus game day one when they first started the instant game collection version of plus.
I know VF5 Final Showdown was given away on GwG before as well. At least this one is enhanced with new features unlike the 360 game just being cleaned up for the XBO.
I could say i already have Squadrons for XBO but I will still download it for PS4. Same with VF5, I already have Final Showdown on XBO but I will get this one on PS4.
I had let my PSN subscription expire at the end of December 2020 after 10 years I subscribed and I had no plans to renew. This is actually a really good incentive to resuscribe/get back to playstation network. I might actually do a 12 month subscription just to play VF5 US for 12 months
Make no mistake I have absolutely no plans to buy a Playstation 5. Buy what about this white Playstation 4 Pro I still own? What do I do with my Playstation 4 Pro i haven't used since 2020?
VR squadrons was such a highlight for me I had the game since day 1 but this means a injection of fresh players into the game.
The ability to play in a squadron from my ps5 using VR alongside mates on PC and Xbox was so good but extra special as it's the first VR game I've ever played to let me do that
For just a bit more, I can get like 300 games, 150+ on PC plus still have access to Xbox Live and xCloud. In addition to a couple of free games every month.
I'm aware it's not exactly a like-for-like comparison but PS+ for me needs a major revamp because if you do make this comparison, it is clear that the value in this service is poor. I hope there are plans in future to combine PSNow and PS+ into one service.
So the rumor of VF5 for PS+ was true... NICE!!!!! I also like that Squadrons is there. I want to try out that VR mode.
Damn I bought Squadrons a few months ago while on sale, still haven't played it and now wishing I never bought it. But whats done is done, and I still have the other games on offer to play without any extra cost besides being a plus member.
