Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was last updated at the start of 2019, but the game just received its latest patch.
Ridiculous.. The game came out in 2014!!!!! Still no new episode Nintendo is touching rock bottom with laziness
Idk if it is laziness. People complain when they show off a game years before release, then they complain when they get no news. I can only assume, but I'm sure all of Nintendo's teams are hard at work on something. Why release a new game when the original is still selling 4+ million a year? Work on something different and create new products. We had the great Mario Kart Live, Labo, and various other interesting experiments. Give them time.
Bad excuse imo. Though I'm less bothered with them not having a new Mario Kart as I am with the fact they rereleased the same WiiU mario kart for full price and 7 years later it's still $60 (canadian $80 and didn't even go on sale on mario day, a luigi game did though). But people have issues with next gen titles having a $10 mark up when we atleast know those games will drop in price about a year in lol. I just think Nintendo's fans and those super casuals that be buying a game off of name and not thinking of value of what they're paying for allows Nintendo to pull this. It needs to eventually be addressed. But probably never will.
Why would that be an issue? Nintendo titles are generally good to amazing quality. The quality doesn't generally dip that fast. I read an article recently still stating that Breath of the Wild and Odyssy are still some of the best games. Mario Kart is still on a lot of must buy lists. Lets say you are selling your used car after owning it for 3 years. Generally used cars depreciate and go down in value. Currently mine has gone up because of a shortage of used cars. Crazy as it is. Would I want to take less profits because it is older than when I bought it? No. If the demand is there and the people are willing to pay, I'd go with the higher price.
