I don't understand why they didn't take advantage of the new PS5 controller?!? Lazy? I have read the new controller takes time to program games for the PS5. I can't imagine it is that difficult though. They should add support for it!

Same reason they didn't take advantage of the PS5 or XSX at all, they're not PS5 or XSX games but are supported by BC on both.

They did take advantage of the new hardware though. Both S/X and PS5 have improved textures, resolution, framerates and load times. Series X has 120fps mode.

They don't have improved textures, just improved resolution that's there already on the PS4/XBO. The file sizes you download are the same on PS5/XSX as PS4/XBO. They just aren't as low capped in the imaginary settings we don't see. But, they are PS4/XBO games, nothing else. This is the exact same as them running at lower resolution/framerate on PS4/XBO as the PS4 Pro/XBOX. They are not utilizing VXX, ray-tracing, taking advantage of SSDs other than what is done by default, or anything like that.
