The Switch will definitely not have the same fall off the Wii did. 2011-2012 was abysmal for Wii unit sales (and the software lineup too) compared to years past.

The software lineup isn’t very good for Switch, it’s not horrible but not good . It should be a lot better than it is , they said they’re having more games this year but I have no idea what they are .

The Wii software is not even comparable to the Switch’s at this point. Please don’t even try to humor that idea.

@ Apple

Switch is on year 4
Year 4 of the Wii had

Galaxy 2
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Kirby Epic Yarn
Xenoblade Chronicles
Other M
No More Heroes 2
Plus other exclusive 3rd party support

So by not comparable do you mean the Switch has no chance of matching the games of the Wii on the same year on the market?

@VersusDMC

Almost all of those games you listed were in the Wii's third year, not fourth year. Fourth year of Wii is November 19th, 2010-November 18, 2011. Every game but DKC: R were in the Wii's third year which extends from Nov 19th, 2009- Nov 18, 2010.

Also, the Switch has Monster Hunter Rise, New Pokemon Snap, Mario Golf: Super Rush, No More Heroes 3, Shin Megami Tensei V, Game Builder Garage, Diamond and Pearl Remakes, Monster Hunter Stories 2, and possibly Pokemon Legends: Arceus or BotW 2. This list is not exhaustive either, as there are other rumored games (such as a 2D Donkey Kong and Metroid) that are rumored to be released this year. Take that with a grain though, as rumors always come around this time of year. Of course the opposite could also be true, and titles could be pushed back. We don't really know.

The Wii's actual list was: Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Sports Megamix, Wii Play: Motion, Skyward Sword, Kirby: Return to Dreamland and The Conduit 2.

I'd say it the winner goes to Switch tbh. Besides, the OP was specifically talking about 2011 to 2012 so, IMO, we can cut out Donkey Kong Country Returns as that was in late 2010.
