Devin Rardin: Though it falls short in its attempt to unify the broader franchise’s contrasting elements, Village still manages to be a fun experience.
"Though it falls short in its attempt to unify the broader franchise’s contrasting elements, Village still manages to be a fun experience." This literally tells me the reviewer didn't pay attention to how significant Village is to both the RE series and its continuation from RE7. Furthermore, yes there is action (as all RE games have in their finales) but this game has a segment which I think rivals 7's scariest moments.
Hell yeah, I was actually blind sided by it, full tilt silent hillness. I would love to see a full game from whoever designed that particular part.
I loved that section with Donna and Angie the most.
Dont think they will ever get the jump scare moments back into the game, that for me is what made resident evil and the fact the story's were ace.
