Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Some people don't like retro gaming, but still love the survival horror genre. Here's the seven best modern survival horror games.
Here's a complete Resident Evil Village Walkthrough Guide covering all formats, including the newly released Mac and iOS editions of the game.
So far as much as I am enjoying Village I have to give the nod to 7 that's one of the best horror games ever made
7 only beacause vr. I just cant get into re8 it doesnt feel scary like re7 did.
Better is hard but I’m still playing Village. Both games play great on horror tropes. RE7 was more film tropes and Village plays in horror tropes in books and fairy tales. RE7 really hit the nail on the head for the first 85% and then sort of felt a little silly as it ramped up the action at the end. With Village, the action fits perfectly. When the game wants you to feel tense, the game ramps that up. When the game wants you to feel afraid and there is some horror here, it makes you live in fear. I’m nearing the end (10+ hours in) and I am very impressed with the story and gameplay. Village has an homage to RE4 like 7 did for the original in many ways. I’m still going to see how it plays out but there was a lot more here than expected and it’s been great!
RE8
I give it to 7. Both are solid experiences, but 7 is a much better horror experience.
