James Kennedy of The Koalition writes: When Capcom released Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017, they decided to take the Resident Evil series in a brand-new direction; new game engine, new characters, new enemies, first-person perspective, and even a VR mode. This year, they have built on those foundations with the release of Resident Evil 8: Village.
Resident Evil has always toed the line between action and traditional survival horror, and Resident Evil Village offers a great balance.
RE franchise is my favourite, it’s so awesome. There’s so much variety and many great games. That is why i hope we’ll get at least one more RE with first person perspective. I want that RE7 experienece one more time! The RE9 director is the same one as RE7 so i’m expecting it to be amazing.
About what it goes for on digital store fronts these days as well. It's always seems like it's on sale along with the other RE games.
I loved the similarities between Village and RE4. I guess the main thing that felt similar is they both seem like sprawling “villages” and the action was well balanced. Both incredible games in VR too.

Lol I doubt iPhone contributed much to that figure, the vast majority would have been PS5 and PC.
Yeah, of course the mobile sites are going to make news out of the couple digit in-the-thousands or so downloads as a major contribution. The original story was that Village hit the 10 million mark across all the platforms, nice for mobile fans to take it up a serious notch like it was due on behalf of mobile.
Proving to be another great entry in the series so far.
I know they've been killing it with RES games for the past few years. Glad to see this is more of what the fans want.
