Subnautica: Below Zero Review (PS5) - PlayStation Universe

From PSU: Subnautica: Below Zero is a sublimely addictive timesink and an exemplary survival adventure game that transcends the genre. The improvements to the formula of the original game are minimal but impactful. Fans of the franchise will certainly have plenty to get into, and the appeal is broad enough to welcome many more newcomers to the experience. Whilst there is little ground broken in terms of visuals, Subnautica: Below Zero more than compensates with an all-round stellar experience that rivals that of bigger budget productions.

I'm surprised The Long Dark wasn't listed. I've heard good things about it. Anyone play it?

slayernz647d ago

yep long dark is really good when it works - two problems i had with it, one of the trophies was really glitchy (the explore all areas one), and playing survival mode my save corrupted over 200 days in, so lost all progress......stopped playing after that

The Last Stand Aftermath is definitely a lovely gem!

Terrible list. Why? They put "Below Zero" on there ABOVE the original. The original Subnautica is LEAGUES better than Below Zero. In-fact, it's one of my favorite games of all time. Below Zero didn't sell well because most of us die-hard fans know it's not as good.

Leviathans."

PS VR2 version inbound. All but guaranteed, since they couldn't do the game justice in VR on the base PS4 and Sony policy wouldn't allow them to publish just for PS4 Pro.

This would be a worthwhile draw for PS VR2 and for little effort, since it was already developed for PC VR.
