damn we can only use the avatars on ps5

Magog36d ago

Well they did also give us like 15 games for free.

darthv7236d ago

...free to keep or for as long as you are a + member?

jukins36d ago

Free forever regardless of plus status

Magog36d ago

Free to keep including Horizon Zero Dawn and Ratchet and Clank.

I guess i should have specified the PS+ collection for PS5. Everyone knows about HZD and R&C as those werent part of that deal. It is the + ones i am wondering about, if you need to stay a + member to play them on the 5 or if you get to keep them regardless.

edit. i found the answer: "Any game you download from the Plus Collection will be available to you for as long as you're a PlayStation Plus member and, when playing the games on a PS5, you'll be able to enjoy a number of improvement, such as increased loading speeds."

Some were free forever and some were on plus.

@Darth

Kind of feels like you were just looking to have a dig to be honest.

Magog36d ago

Playstation Plus collection has nothing to do with Days of Play. It's a bonus for people who buy a PS5.

Free market for Sony in exchange for some free avatars that shouldn't even exist in first place?

No tks.

darthv7236d ago

Wonder if they will release a Days of Play PS4 system like they did in 2019 and 2018?

sparced36d ago

the site isn't working for me, in a loop of being asked to sign in. I'll try again later when its less busy

Profchaos35d ago

Same issue in signed in but can't sign up to the event seems to happen all the time since the redesign

Yes, unless... Hear me out. Money. Money for Sony to be more specific.
I wouldn't be surprised if internally this is a market research by Sony to see if free multiplayer is profitable.
Before you all crucifix me, Sony don't pay for games servers (except first party), so they don't lose money by letting more non-paying people using the game's servers.

However Sony makes money with PS-Plus, then why free multiplayer? This is where this weekend enter as a research move, what if Sony's revenue in Micro-transactions and Ps-Plus membership are less then the revenue in Micro-transactions of all Playstation users.

Do you really believe what your saying?

Sony do not pay for games servers? No your right, the servers are hosted by the publishers, but what do they direct them through so that you can play online?

Ahhhh... you got it first time, a Playstation Network server.... a PSN server and a game server will both work together to give you that glorious online multiplayer.

What do you think the sub fee is for? it is solely to support/maintain the Playstation Networks servers.
