Today Capcom announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2020, which is related to the period that ended on March 31, 2021.
Wow who knew if you started making quality games you could make a lot of money. Gone are the days of on disk paid dlc. Keep making awesome games and gamers will support that. So many publishers seem to miss this beer point
Meant to say publishers miss this very point
To be fair it's a good beer point.😁
To me there is good news and bad news here. Capcom is doing a pretty solid job with each of their new games. And I like their games a lot. Monster Hunter RE7, RE2 remake, and DMC 5 were all highlights last generation. Even Deadrising 3 &4 had their good parts. Street Fighter also lapsed this last gen, although they did improve it a lot after relase, but the game was essentially a beta release. The bad news is in some older games their remasters were more like ports to the previous generation (RE4, 5, 6, DMC, Deadrising, etc.). More like milking exercises then actually doing their best to improve the games.
These Capcom titles have been high tier greatness as of late, keep this up and them records will stay up.
Good games means high sales and profit. Gamers buy quality games.
Love this company, have been with them since the NES days and they’re one of the only companies that have been consistently amazing, even during that tend when they outsourced games to western dev studios… oof, but there were still some gems during that gen. Congrats Capcom! Also, RE8 is phenomenal!
Capcom finally listened and started making good games. The ps3/360 era was by far their worst gen. Now can we get another power stone?
Capcom's been on a roll. RE7, REMake 2, Mega Man 11, DMC 5, Monster Hunter World... they've kept the hits coming and giving us a hell of a value for our buck. Here's crossing fingers they finally announce Dragon's Dogma 2!
