During today’s financial conference call for investors and analysts, Activision Blizzard chief operating officer Daniel Alegre talked about the upcoming Diablo games.
After Warcraft III: Reforged I have zero trust for any of Blizzard's claims.
FF15 also promised a villain more deep than Sephiroth or Kefka. Still waiting on it
What? I can accept every common criticism toward FF15, but Ardyn was awesome.
Not saying he wasn't. Just not Sephi's levels of awesome
And they delivered on that. Ardyn has far more depth as a character than both Sephiroth and Kefka.
Thats a really big exaggeration there
Not really. Tell me what's there to Kefka's character other than being a nihilistic psychopath who wants everyone to suffer and end all life?
Those who lack understanding in regards to the depth of the being that is Sephiroth need to go and reflect. Yikes. Ardyn was fine but doesn’t hold a candle to Sephiroth especially now with Remake being out.
Sephiroth is an awesome villain but he doesn't have much in the way of depth. He does cool things and is intimidating but we rarely ever got to see another side to him. Same with Kefka. Kuja, Vayne, Caius, and Ardyn — now those are the antagonists who do have depth, despite not being nearly as popular as those two.
All of the senior talent believes otherwise, being they jumped ship far before launch ...
Honestly with all the people leaving... they have no chance. Secondly let me give you all an example. Look at Diablo 3 content it received now look at Path of Exile content in terms of seasons..... Honestly no chance
meh I still prefer Diablo 3 over PoE by far especially after Reaper of Souls. can't wait for Diablo IV
Those guys are in denials, the genre already advanced way passed them. Go back to bed.
I’ve always loved Diablo. All three of them. But I highly doubt it.
I personally don't believe there's anything that can come from activision that can advance gaming. 3 good revivals of old franchises, basically all being remakes of their original release (which is when they were good in the fist place) does nothing to change the image of Activision, or of Blizzard.
They should not be saying things like that. No refunds after boarding the hype train.
Just let the games speak for themselves . Do these companies ever learn??
