What a strange article. Great game I still play it too this day. In fact I last played it on Tuesday. Completely oblivious to this update. Only ever play galactic assault and haven’t noticed any changes particularly over the years. Struggling to understand the reason why the article felt necessary enough for someone to write up..
Played this on my PC with a 5800x+RTX 3070 1080p gsync 240hz everything maxed plus using reshade to make it look even better, my FPS was actually hitting the ceiling of the engine at 200 FPS with dips sometimes around 170ish. You can remove that fps ceiling in the user ini settings I did it but it did nothing 😀. Anyway point is, always pick higher FPS and lower res, over higher res and lower FPS, especially in FPS games. Until that time comes when we have FPS at 4K that is pretty much the same @ 1080p I have no reason to upgrade just yet, 60 FPS is not going to cut it at all.
