PP: Tinker Racers is obviously inspired by a little game from a few years back, and yes, I’m obviously talking about Micro Machines. But this isn’t just a cheap knock-off.
Darren writes: "Tinker Racers on Xbox is a fun little game despite its limitations. However, when all is said and done, it doesn’t do enough to escape from the shadow cast by the game which inspired it."
Michael Kitchin writes, "Tinker Racers starts promisingly with a great home-made aesthetic and some inventive track design. Unfortunately, the restrictive campaign hampers a game that barely moves beyond a clever concept. The racing is competitive but success in the latter stages seems to require more than a slice of luck. Local multiplayer could at least deliver some longevity but the lack of vehicle and race options result in a very narrow, frustrating experience."
You want to be leading the race to be the camera target. Especially because everyone that leaves the camera dies! Race with mini RC cars on tracks that your parents never allowed you to set at home.
