Game developers can now access select AMD FidelityFX effects with specific optimizations for Windows® and Xbox.
I saw AMD FidelityFX logo on the RE8 PS5 demo comparisons. Interesting that the article doesn't mention it is also available on PS5.
That's because this is a press release from a Microsoft event: "News from the Graphics Keynote at Microsoft® Game Stack Live"
Maybe this explains how PS5 is nearly hitting 60 FPS locked with RT. I wonder if RE8 also supports DLSS. The next great GFX battle between AMD/Nvidia may be underway.
DLSS is Nvidia so if it is, will be PC. FidelityFX being the AMD "equivalent" (I use the term generously), would be interesting to see how they compare. Edit: Capcom partnered with AMD so I guess its unlikely, at least for a while https://wccftech.com/reside...
@Fishy Fingers Yes RE8 partnered with AMD. This is something you see Nvidia do all the time that you don't see AMD doing enough.
Yup, just like in the Unreal Engine next gen demo there was no mention of XB and in the Sony MLB blog there is no mention of the XB version of the game. These are examples of how marketing is becoming more and more about ignoring what you don't want people to hear. And more about trumpeting what you want people to hear. Gamers need to be awake and realize that these are companies are trying to push only their products. They don't want you to buy someone else's products. Gamers have to be critical and look through the marketing fluff no matter which vendor is spewing it.
There’s currently no word if AMD is adding this tech to Ps5 from most if not all sources. This technology same as their VRS technique is another feature AMD worked closely with Microsoft to create that I just don’t see them investing in to make available everywhere day one.

There’s a few features in FidelityFX that are open source that are on the Ps5. But FSR.. is not on Ps5. Every article released the past 12 hours details this.. just google.. AMD fidelityfx super resolution Ps5 It may come down the line but not now.

"But FSR.. is not on Ps5." The articles say there is "no word" on PS5. "no word" doesn't mean FSR is not on PS5. It means Sony/AMD haven't made any such announcement. This is all speculation, nothing more.

Sony can use different names of toolkits for their own PS API which are also available on DX12, Vulkan.... Also, Sony can build their own type of FidelityFX incorporating its custom Geometry Engine
Why would MS mention Sony at an Xbox event as that would be like complaining that Sony don't mention Xbox at a PS event

People just have to realize there is nothing new here, only that the already available FidelityFX is now usable on Xbox. Just read carefully the article people. NO DLSS competitor here. From the article: "... Contrast Adaptive Sharpening, Variable Shading, and Raytraced Shadow Denoiser technologies are available."

Incorrect. It is being used on PS as well. This was announced at a Microsoft event and so they are only talking about Xbox.
