Dave writes: "Tribal Pass on Xbox is an endless runner that feels like a prehistoric boot camp, pushing you to get up, get better and keep going. It’s far from easy, and it is particularly unfriendly in its opening moments. But push beyond them and there are morsels of enjoyment."
Neil writes: "Endless runners found a place for themselves on the mobile scene a few years back, and since that time near on every iconic videogame character has given the idea a go. Even though it may have died off a little in recent years, there's still some weird draw about taking on the test of constant movement - and it's Samustai and Tribe Team who are looking to deliver just that with Tribal Pass on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S."
The object of Tribal Pass is to get your tribe from one side of the map to the other via some treacherous landscapes full of predators and rival groups.Overall, it is an enjoyable game. If it were longer and had a few more level variations it might hold its appeal for longer, but as it stands it is only fun for the short time it lasts.
I'm liking the fact that games are putting effort into the pixel art style of graphics, some of them can be brilliant and this is a good example, shame the game itself doesn't follow it's visual example :/
Shas Shostak, developmer of The Tribe – now Tribal Pass – was threatened with legal action over the name of his game. GameSpew interviewed him to find out more about the process and how it's affected his role as an indie developer.
Curious how the other company got the copyright for The Tribez, when there's an FPS series called Tribes (Starsierge:Tribes, Tribes 2, Tribes: Arial Assault, Tribes Vengeance, Tribes Ascend) ...
