Switch Sells Nearly 750,000 as Monster Hunter Debuts - Worldwide Hardware Estimates for Mar 21-27

The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console with 744,254 units sold for the week ending March 27, according to VGChartz estimates. The Switch has now sold an estimated 82.42 million units lifetime.

The PlayStation 5 sold an estimated 263,273 units to bring its lifetime sales to 6.80 million units. The Xbox Series X|S sold 121,909 units to bring their lifetime sales to 4.32 million units.

Last week I predicted around 700k-800k for Monster Hunter Rise week for Switch. Looks like it was right in the middle. Both PS5 and XSX sales are up from last week. PS5 is up around 60k and XSX is up around 20k.

PS4 and X1 are staying steady at 39k and 18k respectively.

Sony was able to increase production beyond 250k a week. Strange with all the problems in getting chips. But good. More gamers got the console.

750k with no major holiday to speak of is insane. It's not even that far off from this time last year during all those lockdowns.
