This is the week before Monster Hunter Rise too. I'd expect a 300k boost minimum next week for the Switch. So 700-800k. Switch is looking to have a crazy year for hardware sales.

Switch is poised to pass 360/PS3 and then its on up to the big leagues with Wii/PS1

I remember when people would say on here that the Switch would stop selling well when the next gen consoles came out. There were even articles about it on here. Is that still a valid argument now?

Nah, my switch has been dusty though. Nintendo needs to release more original ips.

Hades was incredible, goty last year imo(or at least in the running). I bet I put over 100 hours in. I would suggest Hades to anyone who has a Swtich and hasn't played it, it is leagues better than most games ever made...again imo. Hades is also on PC, but just a really, really good reason to dust off the old Switch if that isn't an option or you want portability.

Agreed. I haven't really played my Switch since Luigi's Mansion 3. I'm just not interested in shoddy multiplat ports, old Wii/Wii U ports, indies, or anime heavy games. I'm waiting for Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4. Those are the only 2 games in development (that we know of) for Switch that interest me. All this other stuff, I just consider filler until those games come out. In the meantime, hey Nintendo, where's a new Punch Out? Where's a new Star Fox? Where's a new Pikmin? Where's a new Kid Icarus? Where's a new Excitebike or Excitetruck?

Edit: I MIGHT pick up Mario Golf. I forgot about that one. I'll wait and see what the reviews say.

@Raider
It will never not disappoint me to hear someone say they're not interested in Indies. I know it's your prerogative, but they cover such a huge range of genres and unique experiences that I can't help feeling you're seriously limiting yourself by ignoring them all.

RaiderNation40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

@Zhipp

I'm all for indies when they are made in a modern, AAA-like manner like No Man's Sky, Kena Bridge of Spirits, Rocket League, Stray, Quantum Error, Little Devil Inside, etc. I will always support those kinds of indie games where the devs put some real ambition into them. However if I see another top/down game, another 8 bit pixel art game, or another artsy-fartsy tree-hugger game I'm going to throw up.

So far Hades is the only game on the Switch that I have an interest to play besides Bayonetta 2 & 3 but I'm not buying a Switch just for Hades,hopefully the game will release on the PS platform sometime this year.

I can't believe that people still look at Vchartz as an accurate source if info. They have never given anyone any info on how they collect their data.

Though I don't have any interest to buy a Switch good for them for the sales.
