No it can serve as few things like I check out the game to see if I want to buy it or not especially if the game catches my eye. They can also serve as a walkthrough for a game if you're stuck or try and figure out an easy strategy for a boss. Me watching some one stream a game or watching a video of a game being played is not me physically playing the game so it does not count as being played by me.
