🤯
Hey Razzer?
You got a TL;DR for this?

seanpitt231541d ago

If this list isn’t 10,000 pages long then I am going to go mad!

RosweeSon1541d ago

Don’t worry it is take a seat. Has to be one of the biggest list of updates I’ve ever seen makes me wonder if that’s everything now but doubtful and also how broke was this game 🤣 glad I waited it out, want the Ps5 version, and a lot of patches 🤣✌🏻 Hopefully not too long tho really wanna check it out

RazzerRedux1541d ago

"We fixed a lot of broke shit"

RaidenBlack1541d ago

Water physics is still broken. No feedback to player actions.

P_Bomb1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

“Water physics is still broken. No feedback to player actions.”

Bit odd ain’t it. Here I accidentally knocked over Kerry’s drum set in his pad while looking at his guitars. Cymbal made a ‘ting’. Good detail. But double jump into a pond and all you get is a poof of dust. Not even a ripple.

Jin_Sakai1540d ago

I’m waiting for water physics to improve this gen. I’ve yet to be impressed by water in games.

UltraNova1540d ago

They did, but let's see what got broke as a result of all these changes...

thorstein1541d ago

TL;DR:

Fixed multiple quests and quest related bugs. Fixed UI, open world, and other situations linked to quests.
Still no damage fix (except for enemies with pistols.) Still nothing new to "do" in the open world other than go on quests.

RaidenBlack1541d ago

Just saw a PS4 Pro stream. Much better than before but few texture streaming and missing texture bugs still cropped up.

TheExecutioner1541d ago

Cant understand where were the unit testers and quality assurance before they released cyberbugs.

Christopher1541d ago

Let's not blame QA for management choosing to ignore their feedback and releasing an incomplete game.

TheExecutioner1541d ago

why they are listed in the credit ?

Christopher1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

@TheExecutioner: Because QA doesn't decide when a game is released. They just report issues. And thinking that QA didn't find most of these issues? That's not at all how it happened.

TheEnigma3131541d ago

the testers had no control over this. Testers are a low level entry position, which means they have no control over release. They obviously told them it's broken.

Eidolon1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

JESUS, well there's 1% of the bugs fixed.

REDGUM1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

I so want to try this game out. I keep putting it off as I read alot of what you guys and gals have been saying about it in regards to glitches, bugs etc but i'm not sure how much longer I can put it off with the fear of it being forgotten (to me) and moving forward and playing next gen games instead and never going back. Maybe I should just wait till the true next gen version arrives as by then i'm hoping that alot gets fixed.
With that said though, I haven't played it and therefore I don't actually know if the bugs are really that bad. I've tried hard not to watch the videos of it as i don't want to spoil the experience. I hate the fact that I should wait but also will hate myself even more if i let it go entirely! conundrums.hmmmm.

SDuck1541d ago

If you can wait for the "next gen update", do it but I'm not expecting that for a long while at this point. If you have any means of playing it on pc, I think it's fairly playable at this point with just some minor issues that seem to be addressed in the upcoming 1.2

roostermoans1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

Long while on next gen update. Spot on. Shitty part of that is how far back has this pushed the Witcher 3 next gen update ffs?

RaidenBlack1541d ago

@roostermoans
The next-gen Witcher 3 Complete Edition is being handled by Saber Interactive so CDPR can concentrate on CP2077.

Machina1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

Depends on platform. If you'd be playing on PC then the bugs aren't that bad or numerous, at least not in my experience (played for 80 hours). Think 'Bethesda open world' and you'd get a good idea of what to expect regarding bugs.

anast1541d ago

I've got around 320 hrs. in it. I would play it. It's a fun game and will get better with the "free DLC" stuff (they are just making the game closer to what was promised). Also, It's an RPG light action game based on the tabletop RPG, Cyberpunk 2020.

thorstein1541d ago (Edited 1541d ago )

I suggest getting it in January 2022. It should be done by then.

I have it. Got it at launch and while the bugs are tremendous and ludicrous (rear-ending cars while driving just launches them into the air, high damage shots from AI enemies, emptying clip after clip into low level enemies doesn't kill them etc etc etc....) there is nothing to do except quests. Nothing. It's a big empty city of nothing.

If you are looking for a game that has hacking, at least Watch Dogs has something that makes sense. So does Shadowrun (great cyberpunk game on PC). If you are looking for some great cyberpunk, get those or grab an SNES and Genesis and pickup the Shadowrun games for each (they are different games). Or get Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Detroit Become Human.

Then, when you are all done playing all those games, this one MIGHT be complete.

Although they were talking DLC the other day. DLC!?!! We still haven't gotten the game we purchased.

They fixed pretty much everything we have seen on YouTube, Reddit, news sites except the despawning of NPCs and vehicles (at least it's not specifically stated).

Cyberpunk 2077's 2.3 Update Opens a Pandora's Box the Game Can't Close

Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new update after developers previously stated it no longer would, bringing the possibility of more still to come.

I'm hoping the update fixes their poor FSR 3 implementation, and add FSR 4. FSR 2 looks better than FSR 3 in CP2077 by a wide margin. On my 7900XT I just use XESS if I want to add RT at custom 3K resolutions. Already beat the main game, but half way through Phantom Liberty expansion. I would like to get back to it later on this month.

anast1d 23h ago

I have more hours in this game than any other. I would happily put more into it.

MastaMold1d 8h ago

I second this and a PS5 PRO patch too please.

TheGamersDojo1d 5h ago

This would be really nice.

RhinoGamer881d 8h ago

I finished it and had a blast, wish there was a new game + option.

Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2: a cutting-edge game translates well to Nintendo's console hybrid

Few games among the Nintendo Switch 2 launch line-up can match Cyberpunk 2077 in putting the system through its paces. It's a staple of our PC benchmarking suite for good reason: the open world design is a solid stressor for any CPU, while its effects-heavy battles challenge GPU resources as well. This Switch 2 release has clearly been a big undertaking for developer CD Projekt Red too, who produced the port in-house with unique optimisations for Switch 2's ARM-based architecture. It's also remarkably the Ultimate Edition of the game, with both the core adventure and the more taxing Phantom Liberty expansion bundled in - an extra portion that proved too demanding to justify a last-gen console release, and was instead restricted to PS5 and Series X/S, and yet here it is running on Switch 2.

To cut to the chase, Switch 2 offers a truly viable way to enjoy Cyberpunk, either in a portable format or docked under a TV. However, CDPR has shot for the stars in its ambition to include Phantom Liberty as well, and it's here that Switch 2 hits some technical limits - with frame-rates struggling as we explore its newer Dog Town region. Still, that aside, there's a lot to admire in the game's engineering for Nintendo's new console overall, and how competitive it is in comparison with other consoles.

I am happy for CDPR. Their hard work paid off because the Switch 2 version are always in the top 5 Switch 2 launch game sales.

jznrpg2d ago

Not much launched with it besides ports so it should be expected I guess.

OMNlPOTENT2d ago

I mean.. what did the PS5 launch with? One exclusive in Demon's Souls?

repsahj1d 20h ago

@Omnipotent
Not just PS5, Series X has zero launch games. XD

DivineHand1252d ago (Edited 2d ago )

This may be one of the weakest launch lineups Nintendo has ever had, with Mario Kart being the only first party game, but Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely give you tremendous value for your money.

One tip I can give people who have never played the game is to first read books from the cyberpunk subgenre. This will allow you to appreciate the story much better. If you find yourself asking which life path is the best to take at the start of the game, in this case it is Corpo, Streetkid, and Nomad. You likely don't know enough about the genre, and certain things will fly right over your head. While it is not mandatory, the game will be 10 times better if you read or listen to some books first.

Some books I have enjoyed in that genre are:
Cyber Dreams by Plum Parrot,
Stray Cat Strut by RavensDagger
Tower of Somnus by Cale Plamann
Mist Runner by Nicholas Searcy

If you can only read or listen to 1 book, then I recommend Cyber Dreams by Plum Parrot. It is the closest thing to Cyberpunk 2077.

anast2d ago

Or play the TTRPG which is was based on.

Profchaos2d ago

I'd say its stronger than the switch as Mario kart has a broader appeal than zelda.

It was also a better launch line-up than the gamecube and possibly wii u

DivineHand1252d ago

@Profchaos the WiiU likely had the worst of the bunch which is partly why the system failed.

The gamecube had smash bros melee that launched 2 months after the initial release and that is one of the best games to release on that console. I assume every gamecube owner would be happy with that game.

The switch had Breath of the Wild which is still considered one of the best games of all time. I remember playing through that game and unlocked every equipment, upgraded every equipment to the max, found all the dragons, defeated all the Lynels and completed all the shrines in that game before defeating Ganon at the end. It was a good time from start to finish and made up for the lack of other launch games.

I just think that if they had us waiting that long for the switch 2, they should have more than just 1 or 2 first party games ready within the launch window. If we had at least gotten a trailer for a new 3D mario I would be extremely happy. With the current switch 2 lineup, there is no draw to go out and get it immediately like a new console launch should make you feel. Right now the main appeal is to provide a quality of life update to play switch 1 games.

OMNlPOTENT2d ago

There is also a book directly related to the universe of Cyberpunk 2077, it's called "No Coincidence". I thought it was a pretty good read.

Kornholic1d 19h ago

"One tip I can give people who have never played the game is to first read books from the cyberpunk subgenre."

If somebody gave me this advice before I started my first Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough, I wouldn't have even bought the game in the first place.

DivineHand1251d 9h ago

True because I wouldn't have played it either. It's just that I read those books after playing the game and thinking back, a lot of the motivations of each character started making more sense.

I just wanted to through that tip out there to recommend someone try to understand the cyberpunk genre more before playing. They will get more out of the game.

badz1492d ago

40 vs 60 fps is not something that I would even consider calling "competitive"

1nsomniac2d ago

Then you don’t know enough about the subject you’re trying to talk about..

badz1492d ago

hahaha...what? are you serious right now? the Switch 2 is not a PC where you can just change the graphical settings to get to 60fps...Unless CDPR released a patch to make it run at 60fps, that is.

As of right now, it's stuck at 40fps at best and that too with DLSS from quite a low base res already. so yeah...it's not competitive.

Profchaos2d ago

100% 40 isn't a arbitrary choice its a strategic choice because it opens up access to supporting technology on the console

Good-Smurf2d ago

DF are Nintendo's occasional bootlickers after that blatant Zelda games ad scandal.
Games like CP2077 are meant to be played on big console or powerful PC on a big screen.
Got to love how they're simp for full price purchase of 5-year-old game and still getting the worst version to play on.

1nsomniac2d ago

Wow you guys don’t let up for a second trying to blame DF for anything you can pick out the sky at any given moment. It’s embarrassing dude.

It’s always DF are bootlickers for Nintendo today, Microsoft yesterday, Sony last week. Make your mind up people… pick a side and stick to it. Sounds so stupid when you’re trying to make a point that some company is biased but that no one can make their mind up who the company is biased towards any given day of the week.

stoney1012d ago

Yep, the amount of hate they get is ridiculous. The funny thing is if you actually look at the comments on their early switch 2 videos people are slating them for not giving it enough praise and constantly comparing it to ps4.

ZycoFox2d ago

They had a "Sponsored by Nintendo" video not long ago, it literally says so at the start.

I trust them for showing frame rate analysis and they're decent for that, but their overall review for Nintendo is overrated, Mario Kart is the same game it has always been.

Really the only one that got close to topping DKR was MKDS.. So it's no wonder it's often ranked as the highest rated Mario Kart.

repsahj2d ago

It's obvious that you're not following DF. In the weeks leading up to the Switch 2's release, didn't you know that DF had so many articles downplaying the Switch 2 because they believed it was far from being more powerful than the PS4?

Phantom Liberty is a part of the game. If it can't run it. It can't run the game.
