Banned Game Super Seducer 3 Available Now

CG writes: News this week had Richard La Ruina’s (RLR Training Inc.) third pick-up tips game, Super Seducer 3 banned from the Steam store. This was apparently due to having real actors as apposed to video-game characters engaging in adult themes. Sad news for the developers as their previous two games remain on Steam. However, rather than give-up, Richard’s team under the publishing wing of PUA Training Ltd. found a new home for the game via Gamesplanet.com. This is the full uncensored version and costs £10.29.

Good for him I guess 🤷🏿 I can see why steam didn’t like it as it would set a precedent and would have to let in full porn videos with bottoms smash QT like some video games cutscenes

bunt-custardly1126d ago

Not sure about this argument tbh. Steam can curate its store how it sees fit on a game by game basis. It's not really up to steam to get into arguments with studios where they claim "but you let X game on your store, why not ours". As far as I am aware SS3 isn't anywhere close to real porn, maybe softcore at best.

Totally agree with you they just want to be picky

Would it teach me how to be a super seducer?

darksky1126d ago

If the same game was released in a japanese anime style without real-life actors it would fly through steam approval.

Dark_Overlord1125d ago (Edited 1125d ago )

Not necessarily, there seems to be some steam employees who are refusing to allow/removing visual novels :/

BrainSyphoned1126d ago

Not buying the game but good job by gamesplanet's marketing team bringing their name to me for the first time.

giveyerheadawobble1125d ago

Gamesplanet. Hoovering up the shite that Steam doesn't want. And that's saying something LOL.

Here's the thing, though: if Super Seducer is supposed to be a guide to picking up women, why does there have to be another two sequels to this creepified embarrassment? I mean, you are the "Super Seducer" aren't you, 'Dick'? Surely you wouldn't feel the need to make two more of your professional creep simulations if your advice was sound in the first place. Everyone would be too busy having sex, yeah?

bunt-custardly1125d ago

I think you are taking it way too seriously. There are some general tips that might help people communicate with each other (in a fun way), but the "game" itself is tongue in cheek for the sake of entertainment. A lot of the scenarios and choices are pure fantasy.I don't think it's meant to be a full-on life coach for unattached males.

giveyerheadawobble1124d ago (Edited 1124d ago )

Did you see Richard's reaction to Jim Sterling roasting his sensitive little nuts? Taking it seriously? No. Taking the piss? Yes. That's what this guy and his so called "games" are: a piss take, and so, deserves the piss to be taken..

gerbintosh1125d ago

@giveyerheadawobble

Does it matter? There is obviously a market for this and people want it, thats why there are multiple sequels.

Espangerish1125d ago

Getting banned by steam was the best thing that could have happened for this game. Huge load of free publicity for a game that would otherwise have released entirely unnoticed and been quickly forgotten.

Deeeeznuuuts1125d ago

I was just about to say type the same thing, definitely the best thing to happen to the game, sure it'll get a few extra sales just from this

Valve Has Been Quietly Changing the Rules for Adult Games on Steam

What are the rules for publishing adult games on Steam? It seems that no one knows for certain, not even Valve — and that's having an impact on developers.

why the hell can't they just have adult games? You have crazy-ass criminal, anti-social, drug use, gore fueled games... I don't get why nudity and sex is so freaking taboo. What are we freaking pilgrims still? I don't see anyone living in a little house on the prairie anymore. Just let it be for chrissakes.

Ashunderfire861095d ago

Resident Evil 8 as an adult theme game with the violence would have done it more justice, and its already a mature game! You still need to be 18 or so to play the game! Even Duke Nukem would benefit from this! But we got to blame it on these stupid politicians who are destroying this country, and use every excuse to blame violence on video games! Just imagine if Hillary Won! She would F Up Gaming as we know it!

The more logical reason would be that they don't want to have to deal with the legislation in regard to that kind of content and there might be pressure from third parties. In particular payment providers that have a historic low interest in being available for adult oriented media.

There is also that, now, old conspiracy theory about the crew from Campo Santo talking the helms of this part of the approving process. And being a little trigger happy with it.

But no matter the reason. It just suck for developers and players alike. Developers have this tremendous issue with developing games that might not even be approved by Steam or even being pulled out of the store with very reason given. While players are basically left hanging with titles getting canceled.

And what make it even worse is that in a global scale. There isn't really a option on par with Steam. Not only in terms of the tools that they provide. But for the consumer most of the other options don't have basic features like regional princing or regional payment methods. Making them inacessible for a big chunk of the market.

crazyCoconuts1095d ago

There are plenty of people working to censor the violent games as well. Take Chinese government for example. Almost everyone has lines, they just don't all agree on where those lines need to be.

FinalFantasyFanatic1094d ago

It doesn't really make sense considering how many adults play games and want to play those types of games, plus, I believe all the games have some sort of age rating and there are parental controls available fro parents to protect the kids. We already have everything else by the bucket load in games, don't know why nudity and sex has to be treated so differently.

One of the problems with Valve's system where everyone is their own leader, is that the person who approves titles flip flops depending on who is in charge of it. You don't want the guy from Campo Santo who cries on twitter all day, abused his admin powers to ban people in dota 2, and goes against everything even slightly suggestive to be in charge of that department. Otherwise, nothing will get approved.

Banned From Steam - Super Seducer 3 Reaction - Game Vs Reality

CG writes: In our latest video we dissect the banned from Steam game (because that is what it is now known) Super Seducer 3. We play the opening mission entitled ‘Supermarket Seduction”, where the player fancies their chances to snag a Swedish blonde in a not so crowded supermarket of all places. The game is fun to play in a tongue-in-cheek way, but versus what would happen in real life using the same scenario, the outcome would likely not mirror the game in any way shape or form.

I'm too much of a tough guy and I've too many beautiful women throwing themselves at me to need a game like this...

But if there is a tame version then it seems that Steam moderators have got political because they don't like the idea of a man seducing a woman. To seduce is legal, the word means to make someone feel attracted to you but I suspect there are people at Valve who hate this.

Noskypeno1120d ago (Edited 1120d ago )

People get fired just for not being a democrat now days. It's all about following some agenda.

bunt-custardly1120d ago

Not so sure about that tbh because both of the previous games which follow the same template are still available to purchase on Steam. In my opinion I suspect the original submission went too far in terms of lewdness using real people and the shit stuck. No amount of blurring will shake the image this third game has with the Steam censors. Judging from what I've seen and what the developers of this game said, fans requested more "adult" content and they obliged. I guess it was that separating this game from the other two, except Steam wasn't interested in hosting a borderline softcore porn type game with real people on its store. And here we are.
