So you're telling me, a 2016 port to PC is running at 4k/60 at the latest GPU? THIS IS SOME SHOCKING NEWS

SaiyanFury1124d ago

Considering how badly optimised the Dragon Engine is, it does take a quite powerful PC to run it in high resolutions at a good framerate.

TheLigX1124d ago

Yea... it does on my 3070 as well. It had better since its an older game.

"an Nvidia"
You could've at least showed some footage. Those screenshots can't showcase the 60fps

Heavenly sword .. lol Microsoft owns the devs that made that game but not the game lol.
Probably gonna go with farcry 5 if I decide to sub.

MadLad496d ago (Edited 496d ago )

Yeah.
That's pretty much how bringing a 3rd party, multiplatform studio under the fold after they released games work.
Whatever deal was made here was between Microsoft and Sony.

SurgicalMenace496d ago

It's public knowledge that Sony owns the IP to Heavenly Sword much like Capcom owns the rights to DMC. It is possible to just contract a developer to make the game while retaining the rights.

Crows90496d ago

@surgical@Mad

Yeah...still funny. Also shows that MS is on a blind buying spree and this whole thing about a "relationship" is a bunch of horse kaka.

deleted496d ago

"We built that!" -Microsoft X'D

Guitardr85496d ago

Just like Bungie and Halo. Bungie made Halo for Microsoft then became independent and was bought by Sony. Sony owns Bungie but cant touch Halo.

gold_drake496d ago

well, yes. heavenly sword is owned by sony.
not ms.

Crows90496d ago

@guitard

Honestly I think Bungie will be making exclusive games for Sony. Especially if ms succeeds in buying Cod. Bungie would be incredible if allowed to be creative with the support of Sony and its devs.

Trophy support for any of the classic titles?

LucasRuinedChildhood496d ago (Edited 496d ago )

I've been enjoying PS Plus Essential more than PS Plus Extra, tbh (Mass Effect: Legendary Edition this month and Nioh 2 last month). Extra started off strong but I don't think they're focusing enough on the right things.

They should bring more games like Stray into the service (I think it was the most popular game on PS Plus overall this year). Imagine if they had Neon White day 1. They need more unique games like Metal: Hellsinger, Sifu, Kena, Hades, The Entropy Center, etc.

I'm going to play The Pedestrian though - it's supposed to be quite good. And we got some new classics that aren't streaming (I'll be giving Ridge Racer 2 a go).

Petebloodyonion496d ago

Sony made it clear that for them PS+ is more like a second chance for known titles to get value amongst ppl that would have never bought the game in the 1st place.
they used the movie analogy where a movie is 1st release in theater, then Bluray and after subscription service

crazyCoconuts496d ago (Edited 496d ago )

I look at it like this: Extra is only $40/yr more than Essential, which is like $3.33 more a month. Like a third of what GamePass costs (not even taking into account essential is way better than gold). So I guess given how cheap it is I'm not expecting day one or even year one games

crazyCoconuts496d ago

Looks like a pattern where you may get a PS4 version of a game with the basic plus sub, and you get the PS5 upgrade as part of the Extra upgrade. Greedfall, the Dark Pictures games, and now Mortal Shell follow this pattern

SlothLordPootus496d ago

I wish they would have let us upgrade those free versions to the ps5 versions for a fee. Instead i just didnt play them. At least i get to play mortal shell now. Lol

crazyCoconuts496d ago

At least some of those (like mortal shell) have an upgrade charge from ps plus to enhanced. I would say it's not worth the $20-30 imo though

Abnor_Mal496d ago

I will give Judgement a try, never played a Yakuza game before, this could be the jumping in point.

Shadow of Mordor was great, but Shadow of War not so much, the grind at the time was too much, plus I don’t know if it was the controller or game but I had drifting issues.

SullysCigar496d ago

I was thinking Judgement too. Been watching Giri/Haji and it's awesome. Given me that Yakuza bug again!

Profchaos496d ago

Cool I've always been curious about far cry primal I'll be trying that

Dude, I know it has to be challenging to wake up every day as yourself. I mean, having nothing to look forward to but Elden Ring praise. Once Fromsoftware, inevitably builds the Church of Elden you'll find your place of greatness. You not caring for what I do doesn't sway my choices of play in the least. All those awards don't add or take away from my bottom line which allows me the freedom of movement I've grown accustomed to.

Perhaps those are victories for you but I see Sony benefitting from everyone's blind devotion as they own enough rights to determine which systems Fromsoftwares games are released on or not. That's not to mention that they also get paid while they do it. That's more impressive than some GOTY award however you chop it.🤷🏾‍♂️

Irrelevant? Wipes the floor? Bruh, you need a girlfriend, job, friends, or something outside of video games as an outlet. You're delusional if you believe that what others think determines what I choose to like. I purchased both Elden and BotW just to decide for myself that I liked neither. I have my own system of measurement when it comes to deciding what I like or not. I'm not understanding why it would matter to anyone who wins GOTY when they can choose what they like themselves. Those awards have failed to sway me in the least. I played Elden/BotW long enough to make an educated decision.

Definitely give Mortal Shell a shot. One of the better soulslikes out there. Not too long either.
