Destructoids ~ The Daily Hotness Write: Expect to see things like the above image plastered all over PlayStation Home, as well as an increasing number of your favorite videogames in the near future.
At an upfront by Microsoft-owned ad firm Massive held in New York City on Wednesday, Activision Blizzard revealed numerous upcoming sequels to established franchises (including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, one of the more uninspired videogame sequel titles in recent memory, and what's being called Guitar Hero 5 for now).
A devious and sickening example of in-game advertising came in a sample screenshot from GH 5. Of course, the Guitar Hero franchise is already infamous for its blatant and brazen advertising, like the Axe-branded guitar and the Pontiac Garage venue in Guitar Hero III. Apparently, a screenshot of GH 5 was shown; it featured a Burger King logo next to the note highway. Excuse me while I go vomit into a wastebasket.
PlayStation Universe takes a look back at some of the games and moments where David Bowie's music struck a chord in videogames.
Ended up doing quite well with ziggy stardust on GH; was only on medium but I still consider it an achievement 😃
Wasn't David Bowie in a Quantic Dreams game during the PS2 era?
These tracks wouldn’t be half as big if it wasn’t for Activision’s button-shredding megafranchise.
The writer of this article is obviously musically incompetent. Free Bird, nor Lynyrd Skynyrd, owes debt to anyone concerning their music and especially concerning Free Bird. It is one of the greatest and most highly ranked songs in the history of rock music, not to mention it contains one of the top ten guitar solos in rock history. I realize that in order to be considered great in the music industry these days all you have to do is copy something that someone else did years ago, but you should do a little research before making totally ridiculous and inaccurate statements.
Surprisingly enough, Thanksgiving is the perfect time to rediscover this gem.
Funny, went to my Daughter's house over the weekend. We played Rock Band, first time in about two years. It was just as much fun as I remembered.
@ Sayburr: "Rock Band Night" was a frequently used term for me and my mates too !

OK first things first.. DUH! I would hope to see stuff like this all over Playstation Home. It's NOT a game, it is a social networking application based in a 3D world. I want to see ads, virtual stores, theaters, exclusive video game and non-video game related content. As for ads in games? I don't really mind at all. Hell in Burnout Paradise they are all over and just ads to the game itself. Granted a Pepsi ad in the middle of Ratchet and Clank or Banjo Kazooie would be lame but in games where it just ads to the environment I see no problem.
Not once do they mention the Xbox dashboard.
surely we should think about renaming this place, ads4bloggers or suchlike?
Good gravy that site is getting worse and worse every time I read another lame article from them. Was there a surge of high-school kids in need of work that are competent enough to submit an article on a web site and nothing else? Did this dribble actually require a degree of sorts in journalism? I'm leaning to "no" on the latter.
You know what grinds my gears is using an old cliche to try and be funny and then complaining about something that benefits everyone. Advertising is a big reason why home is free, it also gives devs a little extra cash to put into their games, this guy is an ass.
