I stopped going to Gamescom. It's not the same anymore just like E3

Gamescom is like the RC Cola of E3s. It blows my mind that E3 gets canceled and doesn't just do an online event, but this somehow is happening.

Gamescom has always been primarily an event for gamers, while E3 has always been primarily an event for press. It's fairly obvious Gamescom needs to get back on-site as soon as possible, because it's based on getting people to try the games directly instead of getting press to try the games and tell people they're good.

Hasn't E3 transitioned to that, though?

I know in the beginning it was a Trade Show, but you have the public coming into E3 now... errr, well when it was around.

@CrimsonWing69: on a much smaller scale. Its primary focus was still press. Gamescom and TGS attracted tons more gamer visitors.

I sense similar success with Lost Soul Aside and Phantom Blade Zero.

Phantom Blade looks great. I’ve seen less of Lost Soul Aside but I hope it’s good as well. If the games are good like Stellar Blade and WuKong then they will sell.
