Loving these performance updates. Games run and play so much better at 60fps.

CobraKai1563d ago

Add that to some last gen games that look current gen and it’s a win.

As I’ve been saying since I was forced to go to pc mid ps360 era due to 30fps. Ive had to suffer through people trying to say there was no difference a l l t h i s t i m e.

Now I’m without a gfx card and living 60fps on consoles while I wait for stock.

It's great there is choice this time

SinisterKieran1563d ago

Waiiitttt...outer worlds is out on PS4/5? I thought it was exclusive to Microsoft for some reason :O

TheExecutioner1563d ago

I think your knowledge about gaming start recently

MadLad1563d ago

A sequel would be, but the original was published by Private Private Division - a subsidiary of Take Two.

darthv721563d ago

It's also on the switch, in case you didn't know.

BlaqMagiq11563d ago

You do know this came out BEFORE Obsidian was bought right?

Ausbo1563d ago

That’s technically not true. Xbox announced the acquisition in E3 2018 and the game didn’t come out until fall 2019.

badz1491563d ago

@BlaqMagiq1

MS bought Obsidian before the release of this game. they just agreed to honor the pre-acquisition release schedule of this game to other platforms. the Switch version came way after the other consoles too.

demonseye1563d ago

@Ausbo @badz149 the purchase of Zenimax only has been accepted this year. meaning MS didn't have any influence until this year officially. Microsoft is that big of a company they fall under special laws that governments have to agree to them expanding in certain areas to prevent a company from becoming as big as the VOC once was.

Neonridr1563d ago

MS did buy the developers, but after the game was finished. Any sequels or new projects would most certainly be exclusive.

Yui_Suzumiya1562d ago

I own it on PS4 and Switch.. Currently playing the Switch version and loving it!

Nice! Gives me a reason to go back and see if I’m missing anything

badz1491563d ago

yeah, you've been missing every other frames on last gen consoles

Eidolon1563d ago (Edited 1563d ago )

I'm not even 1/5 through it on PS4, so I think I will just wait to experience it at full(on console), but I was enjoying it. To be fair, I am putting off a lot of games in my backlog, paid and free, to play on next-gen. Been over 5 months waiting for that PS5. Bought an X1X and built a "decent" 1080-1440p(RX 580) gaming rig to hold me off.

The Outer Worlds Could Fill a Unique Niche By Going the Opposite Direction as Avowed

The Outer Worlds could distinguish itself from other Obsidian IPs by going in the opposite direction as Avowed and the Pillars of Eternity series.

Or it could just be the same as outer worlds 1. No changes just direct sequel.

Both are going to underperform.
