Joystiq- Hands on with Killzone 2's Single Player Campaign

That was a good preview and for the people who were getting on ign's back about thier cons for Killzone. 1up had similar cons as well so I don't think IGN was trying to get hits. I think, like me they want Killzone to be awesome but if there are issues in the game then they should speak up now while there's a chance to fix it.

I would rather people be honest then to have someone preview killzone and say nothing but good things like it's perfect. If previewers don't speak up then GG might not fix the issues that might be in the game.

Well said, honest reviews are important. But I think people were annoyed that their honesty wasn't being consistent. The fact that some issues were not brought up for other games in this genre when they were getting previewed seems a bit off that's all.

BUT!! Did you read what they said about AI?

The enemies of Killzone 2 are just as varied and realistic as the weapons. It's hard to predict what will occur in a gunfight. The Helghast will take cover, throw grenades, and attempt to flank you. But don't be surprised if a more powerful enemy kills a few of his allies just to get a clean shot at you. Some enemies will rush at you with a knife -- an unfortunate proposition if you're not quick to react. There were more than a few times I was caught completely off guard, and enemies appeared behind me. (And no, they didn't randomly spawn there.)

AI haters go crawl back into your cave. That includes you, IGN AU. Hating on the AI has become the last refuge for haters of this game now that they know the graphics and gameplay are both awesome. It's the popular thing to complain about. They have put an extraordinary amount of effort into the AI and this proves it.

PS3 boys have only 3 games they can talk about:D

LBP, MGS4 and uncharted.. always these games, nothing else left. When the MidgetStation3 was launched they said WAIT UNTIL FF13, RE5, KZ2, GT5, TEKKEN6, DMC4, GTA4 and so on...

Sony lost all their exklusives.. nobody really, REALLY cares about nonames like Killzone, Socom, MAG or the other crap. Biggest flop last year was LAIR and heavenly Sword, but PS3tards said thas these games will be HUGE, lol! This year its LBP.. it should sell 5 times more! I have said it before. 360 owners are in for a rude awakening. Gears of War 2 is coming to the PS3. Epic has already left some files on their server in the wrong place that showed bug reports for the PS3 version.

hopefully, someone from IGN will read this. other than the AI partner being a "knucklehead", this is another preview that refutes IGN recent criticisms of KZ2.
