SaGa Frontier Remastered has canceled the physical release on PlayStation 4, however, the Nintendo Switch version is still coming.
With SaGa Frontier Remastered’s launch earlier this year, CGMagazine talks to franchise creator Akitoshi Kawazu, as well as series producers Masanori Ichikawa and Hiroyuki Masanori Ichikawaura, about SaGa’s future.
From RPG Site: "As I stated in my recent review for SaGa Frontier Remastered, the SaGa series is a favorite of mine, and I am here for whatever Square Enix decides to do with the franchise going forward. Seeing the series revitalized in recent years with several good-to-great re-releases, as well as one of the best RPGs of all time with SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions, I'm very excited to experience what's next.
I had a chance, once again, to meet with Square Enix's SaGa team, including creator Akitoshi Kawazu and producers Masanori Ichikawa and Hiroyuki Miura. Our time to chat was limited, but there were a handful of things I wanted to get some input on straight from the mouth of the series' leads."
MonsterVine: "I can talk on and on about this game, but I truly believe this game only gets better when you go out, and start playing it. "
I was planning on grabbing this game on the Switch but to cancel the physical port for PS4 that is a very stupid move. That's about as dumb as Microsoft scrapping the Xbox port of Gal Gun I would have been happy to have bought the physical port of Gal Gun on XB1.
