I wish these headsets completely worked on competitions systems but no. PlayStation new headset is awesome but requires the dongle which I haven’t tried on my series X but I’m sure I’d be wasting my time and it wouldn’t show battery life and such on screen even if it did work. This Xbox headset seems like it will be fine, didn’t see a mention of the 3D audio, but still I’m going to preorder it. I’m sure it won’t work on my PS5 completely either. I just want one awesome cross functional headset. Let me see my battery life and when I’m muted on screen, work flawlessly from one system to the other, and allow me the option to plug in a 3.5 mm Jack for when I play on PC or VR. Whoever ticks those boxes can set their price as far as I’m concerned. I’m in.

They should open it up to 3rd party. But they prefer to keep it closed to jack prices up for their partners.
