TSA writes: World design is one thing that has kept me coming back to video games for years now. From early days spent pouring over maps of Link’s Awakening and Super Mario RPG in magazines, to hours exploring the likes of Lordran in Dark Souls and Bloodborne’s Yharnam.
The world as it was is gone, lost with the disappearance of the King. As a Wanderer of these forsaken lands, it is up to you to piece together the fragments of reality and retrace the fall of civilisation through skill based combat, innovative open-world platforming and the testimonies of survivors… some more trustworthy than others.
"Shattered: Tale of the Forgotten King is inspired by the beloved Dark Souls series. It has all the trappings you look for all while dolled up in a gorgeous aesthetic and massive open world. However, its world lacks rewarding exploration, and its combat, while mostly enjoyable, lacks any sort of weight. There is a good game here, but you do have to spend a good deal of frustration to find it." Jeff Young - Analog Stick Gaming
