Video Game Tie In's used to be a key figure in the industry. Now they no longer exist. Here are some of the best and worst of the bunch.
No Robocop, Terminator, Ghostbusters, Indiana jones, Gremlins or Gremlins 2, TMNT, Goonies, Predator, Aliens or even Wolverine or Hulk.
Generationxbox probably did an Xbox-centric list, hence no Goldeneye. But how ‘bout From Russia with Love? Still have that and Everything or Nothing downstairs. Been a while since the last 007.
I feel like this article is written by someone who owned these games and nothing else or researched the most popular one. Like honestly the worst games are from the Ps2 era? Forgot about all the era of the NES and SNES where licensed games had basically no shred of good gameplay. Back to the Future, Total Recall, Terminator 2, etc. As for a good game goes I feel that the author select the game he had in his collection instead of doing some research Was Batman good? sure just like the Punisher from the same time frame was good but they fare pretty low on Metacritic meanwhile the Lord of the ring series that basically was released a couple of weeks before each movie was praised by all who played them. https://www.metacritic.com/...
Ah yes, the tie-in. In some ways it’s almost gone too far the other way. Feels like Marvel barely has any games these days. In the old days you could have Thomas Jane in Punisher. Games like Wolverine, Captain America, Hulk, Spidey, FF, Lego, even a GOW inspired Ghost Rider. More choice at the AA counter.
