Not happy about who bought them but this will certainly give them more money to work on much more towards the game, and the fact that they want cross-play in the game will greatly help longevity of the player count (which should have been in from the start but I get they're a small company)

I thought cross play was in it from the start. PS and PC played together.
Hard to play with XB players when the game wasn't on their system yet.

Nope, it's not in the game as of right now. Made me a bit disappointed because my friend group was split down the middle on both systems so it should have been in by default

Rocket League has become noticeably worse since the epic acquisition, I will expect the same thing to happen to fall guys now.

The gameplay hasn't changed in Rocket League, but I agree pretty much everything else is worse, especially the UI and quality of life stuff.

The UI used to be super clean, challenges you complete would auto redeem between matches etc. Now there are menu's under menu's under tabs under tabs. It 100% is designed now to daze and confused people into spending.

You are right about the gameplay.

Getting rid of abnormal arenas, getting rid of labs, and the changes to the store and lost licensing of batman, the delorian, and other cars like that along with mlb and nba flags are some of the reductions I didn't like to see. I also do not have problem with loot boxes, just give us the odds up front. It certainly beats a single item costing $20.

The game kind of came and went, especially after Among Us blew up that much more not long after Fall Guys found its success.
But this is just like them acquiring the guys behind Rocket League. All EPIC really knows how to do is find popular things, throw a bunch of money at it, and then lock it into their crap store.

Well there goes any chance for steam workshop support. The thing that killed this game was how slow the devs were in adding content. Deathrun has been a thing for more then a decade in other Valve games. The reason those had lasting appeal was the fact the community could all make the courses themselves. In here, you have to wait like 2 months for 2 maps that last 2 minutes and some remixed existing ones. This never had a chance with how it was handled.

Actually, this is something good for the series. I mean it's no surprise that FAll guys was and still is a fun game with friends and all even if you are competitive it's still fun. But some stuff has made them fall numbers like the no new courses tracks, the hacking ad so on...but with Epic Games I'm sure those things will be fixed I mean why would they invest into buyin the studio that made their best game.
Anyway, I'm not saying this is the best thing ever but I think we can all be cautiosly optimistic and hope for the better of this game.
