According to FCC statistics, few videogame podcasts make it to age 50. There are a variety of causes for this, not least of which is apathy. But the people at the Three Red Lights podcast have bravely soldiered on, mainly becuase they were forced to by people whose suits cost more than the collective net worth of their outstanding student loans.
For the past few months, the podcast crew has been made to attend countless tiresome meetings with their corporate overlords, who have been begging them to go above and beyond for their 50th Episode. They wanted them to give away thousands of dollars in cash and prizes -- but they know theirr listeners. You guys don't want material things. You want them to ramble about nonsense for an hour and possibly interview a celebrity. You're welcome.
So this week, IGN lined up rap superstar 50 Cent as a special guest. But life in the entertainment biz isn't all that easy. And just because you line up an interview with the world's biggest rap star doesn't mean you'll actually get to talk to him. So come along with Hilary Goldstein, Erik Brudvig and Ryan Geddes as they attempt to talk to 50 Cent on the phone. And yes, you could always just skip to the end of the podcast to see what happens, but that would make you a Wangsta.
