The management team for Kingdom Hearts Union X Dark Road announced that the KH mobile game will be coming to an end later this year.
Today Square Enix announced the next mainline game of the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts 4.
I like that it seems to be taking place in a more realistic world. Or maybe that's just one of the many worlds you visit, who knows.
Hopefully they add to the game. The live action route they’re taking has the possibility to add to the game.
I’m quite burned out on superheroes atm though. Hopefully Sora plays well with them, but with nothing else like tv shows and films, I can take it or leave it.
KH3 was pretty blah, was way too easy and the story was trash. KH2 and Birth by sleep are the series height. Sadly they needed to dumb it down for the casuals. I just hope there are no more 5000000 Xeanorts
Ya'll are crazy, KH3 was a blast. Sure it wasn't a perfect game, but it was really well crafted and had a lot of memorable moments. Just wish the "attraction" rides weren't a thing. Or, were much less powerful and wouldn't interrupt boss music.
@Snookies; my issue is there were no human bosses either until the final boss or the dlc bosses; all the fights were very easy and boring, the story was also very meh compared to the previous games.

None of that would be hugely surprising, except the FF9 Remake which would be freaking crazy.
As someone who thought FF8 was the best FF of that era, FF9 Remake would be like getting kicked in the balls.. fortunately I just can't see it.. why would they invest resources in that when most FF fans are eager for news on 16 and FF7R part 2?

Not necessarily. Upcoming games like Hellblade II and Quantum Error made its transition from UE4 to UE5.
You are misunderstanding what Eidolon said. They are saying that if KH4 is still on UE4 in a couple years it would be outdated.

listen, i love me some KH, but it this was ridiculous.
we got some answers yes (more questions as usual), but it took way too long for us to actually get them.
Unfortunately, KH fans are totally ok with this. I played KH1 on PS2 almost 2 decades ago and still have questions that only can be found on mobile 2D game. That is veeeeery pathetic and unacceptable, every spin off come with new questions and new implemented ideas and only answers very little in comparison. Story progress became insignificant, nothing feels as accomplishment as KH1. Everything else is circle running.
I miss the early days of KH, when KH had a relative grounded story. Now they’re just throwing hundreds balls in the air. They’re able to catch some of them, but most of them fall on the floor or on a mobile platform.
