PlayStation CEO says PS5 will get its own VR headset, explains console supply chain shortfall

The PlayStation 5 will have its own virtual reality headset, however, consumers may face ongoing difficulties obtaining a PS5 console given a supply chain shortfall. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan revealed both developments in a Monday interview with The Washington Post.

I don't understand why they can't sell in store, I've be in wal-mart all the time, Christmas time every place I went to was crowded. It's always a normal day out just with a mask on. Not selling in store in stupid.

They said they were not going to sell in stores due to the pandemic. Yeah, I know stores are crowded anyway, but have you seen the mobs that rush into stores to get consoles in the past? That is exactly what they are trying to avoid.

And it is not like putting them in stores is going to increase the supply. We would still have the same massive shortfall of stock.
